Fair Trade and Organic Tea

As a heavy tea drinker I found it difficult to stomach the taste and prices of fairtrade tea when it first came to Ireland.

this was because at the start it was only one or two large british companies who ventured into the area of fairtrade and did not understand the minute yet important differences between an english breakfast tea and an Irish breakfast tea

so apart from the fact that it did not taste nice they then they charged you more for it. a lot of people have developed a sour taste for fairtrade because of this.

But I'm delighted to inform you of teadirect's fairtrade offering as pictured above. It is as the packaging says a "bright refreshing brew" and costs roughly the same as the leading brands. I have shared this with a few friends and they have all commented on how good the tea is and how it does compete with leading brands.
its available in most good supermarkets.

Also pictured is orgapod's Spiced Red tea (Roibos) which i drink from time to time as a gourmet tea. I'd also recommend their green tea. they are 100% certified organic and the company is based in Co. Wicklow. again available in most good supermarkets.

Hope you take the time to look for these in the tea shelves next time you do your shopping.
